I know these stencils hail from the 60s- they have the pre-decimal currency 1’6 [one shilling and sixpence] written on them in crayon. They came from an old school and were stored in an old box- until the school was sold for development and all the boxes came out and were sold off too.
I love that the Australian states of NSW and Queensland are as large as the USA and Africa- that’s confidence for you. And who doesn’t remember using a stencil when producing a school project? You traced around the outline and then the state capitals and rivers were dots and squiggles in the middle. Accuracy- what? That was the geography assignment sorted.
As displayed here, the stencils would look fantastic on a wall; for all you school nostalgics- the stencils are for sale: $AUD45
