If you – like me- grew up to the sounds of “Skipppppy, Skipppppy, Skippy the bush kangaroo; Skippy, Skippy, Skippy a friend ever true” you will totally appreciate this tea set. I asked for one for Christmas when I was 4, only to be told Santa couldn’t “afford” to bring me one. It was at that point I started questioning if Santa was really just my cheapskate parents. [I was right, as it turns out!]
This set isn’t complete- it has three cups and 2 saucers, 2 side plates, a large plate [all in that funky rounded-square shape] in yellow, and a jug in orange. The cups and jug have ‘Skippy’ and Skippy’s silhouette printed on them in black. The TV program began in 1966 and associated merchandise was produced between 1968 and 1978.
For Skippy admirers and those of us with cheapskate parents, this tea set is for sale, $AUD35.
